Cosmetic Medical Treatments - Volume Loss Treatment

As we age, we develop changes in our skin quality and hydration. We loose facial volume and shape and develop fine lines and wrinkles.
At B Cosmetics we provide non-surgical treatments to lift and shape contours, create volume and fill lines and wrinkles. Everyone’s skin and features are unique. At B Cosmetics we spend time personalising your treatment to create subtle natural results.

If you would like to find out more about our volume loss treatments please book a consultation with one of our Doctors.

The natural process of aging causes the gradual loss of collagen and elastin in our skin. There are also changes to the underlying structures such as the loss of subcutaneous fat, volume and remodelling of our facial bones.
Volume loss treatments can help lift and provide support, restoring natural curves and hydration.
Our doctors will create a personalised treatment plan to address your unique concerns and achieve results that look refreshed, not overdone.

Treatment Summary

Facial volume loss is a natural part of the aging process. Over time, the skin, fat, muscles, and even bone structure gradually change, leading to hollow areas, sagging, and loss of youthful contours.

Key causes include:

  • Collagen & Elastin Decline – Production of these vital proteins slows down, reducing skin firmness and support.
  • Reduction in Hyaluronic acid- Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the skin that keeps it plump and hydrated. Declining levels cause our skin to be dry and loose elasticity.
  • Fat Pad Shrinkage & Shift – The facial fat that once provided youthful plumpness thins and moves downward, creating hollows and sagging.
  • Bone Resorption – Subtle changes in the underlying bone structure (especially around the eyes, cheeks, and jawline) cause the face to lose definition.
  • Muscle Changes – Facial muscles become thinner and less toned, contributing to laxity.
  • Hormonal Changes- Changes in hormones especially during perimenopause and menopause can cause changes in skin texture, tone and elasticity.
  • External Factors – Sun exposure, smoking, stress, and lifestyle choices accelerate collagen breakdown and tissue depletion.
