At B Cosmetics all new clients require a consultation with one of our doctors. Your consultation involves a full skin and facial assessment and provides you the opportunity to discuss your area(s) of concern and expectations. You will also have clinical photography so we can monitor your treatment outcome and progress. We at B Cosmetics are committed to providing safe clinical care for our clients. Our consultation process is a very important step in tailoring a treatment plan specifically for you that is appropriate and safe, whilst addressing your concerns.

You will receive information with instructions on how to prepare for your upcoming treatment.

Our doctors will administer the treatment with precision, tailored to your unique facial expression and anatomy to achieve natural results.

The procedure is generally well tolerated with minimal discomfort. An icepack or numbing cream can be applied to the area prior to treatment to reduce discomfort, though this is often not necessary. You should be able to resume your usual daily activities after the appointment, experiencing little to no downtime.

People will start to notice the effect of the treatment within 2 - 5 days with maximal effect at 2 weeks.

A follow up appointment is recommended in 2 weeks review your results and assess the need for any dose adjustments. Post treatment clinical photos will be taken and reviewed with you to ensure you are satisfied with your treatment.

The results of the treatment typically last most people up to 3-4 months.

This is a temporary treatment and as the muscle starts to develop new nerve fibres movement will start to slowly return to their pre treatment state. Factors such as dose used, the natural muscle bulk as well clinical treatment expectations will impact the duration of results. For example, for clients seeking a softer natural result with some muscle movements will find the treatment does not last as long. Client factors such as illness, metabolism and exercise levels may impact the longevity of treatment.

Treatment effects are temporary, and re-treatment is necessary to maintain the results. Repeated treatments can cause a longer-lasting effect and the muscles weaken over time, which can increase the interval between treatments.

You should be able to resume your usual daily activities after the appointment, experiencing little to no downtime. Immediately after treatment, you may experience slight redness, mild swelling, occasional bruising, tenderness at the injection sites. Ice can be applied to reduce discomfort.

To reduce the risks of side effects we advise the following precautions:

• Do not rub or massage the treated area for 24 hours.
• Do not lie down flat for 4 hours post-treatment.
• Avoid strenuous exercise and excessive heat exposure for 24 to 48 hours.
• Do not apply makeup to the treated area for 12 hours.
• Do not have any facial treatments such as laser or peels for 2 weeks post-treatment.

There are risks involved with all medical procedures. Your doctor will discuss all risks and contraindications prior to performing any procedure. Some people will have the following effects post treatment:

• bruising
• redness
• swelling
• itching and tenderness.
• Transient mild headache.
   

Regular analgesia can be used to relieve symptoms.

Some uncommon side effects include:

• Asymmetry of the treated area.
• Rare case of Double vision with treatment to the eyes.
• Ptosis (drooping) of the eyelids. This rare effecting less than 1% clients and is temporary.
• Heaviness of the forehead or dropping of the eyebrows.
• With certain lower face treatments: Difficulty swallowing, whistling, speaking and asymmetrical smile.

Following your aftercare instructions and letting your doctor know of any health conditions you may have or medications you are taking will help minimise complications.

This treatment cannot be administered in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
